How to fold an origami fennec fox face

Fold the corners of a triangle down, then swing them far out again as two huge pointed ears. Fold the cheeks in to a slim snout and turn it over.

You need: 1 square sheet, 15 × 15 cm, sandy tan on one side. Easy, 6 steps, about 4 minutes.

Steps

  1. Make a triangle. White side up. Fold the top corner down to meet the bottom corner.
  2. Corners down. Fold the left and right corners down to meet the bottom point.
  3. Swing the ears out. Fold each flap back up from its outer corner to the middle crease, a bit below the top, so its point sticks far up and out as a big ear.
  4. Flat top. Fold the little top point of the head behind, just above where the ears cross.
  5. Slim the snout. Fold each side in along a line from the bottom point up to where the ear meets the head.
  6. Turn it over. Flip the fennec over so the smooth side faces you.

Big ears!

Draw two dark eyes, a little black nose on the tip of the snout and a few whiskers.
