How to fold an origami frying pan
Fold the corners of a black square behind until it is round, add a strip for the long handle and a little yellow octagon for the yolk. Draw the egg white around it.
You need: A 15 cm square and a 3 x 13 cm strip of black paper, a 4 cm yellow square, glue and a white pen. Easy, 8 steps, about 8 minutes.
Steps
- Handle: fold in half. Handle first. Lay the strip across, white side up. Fold the top edge down onto the bottom edge.
- Handle: round the end. Fold the two right-hand corners behind a little, so the end of the handle is round.
- Yolk: new sheet. Set the handle aside. Take the little yellow square, yellow side up.
- Yolk: corners behind. Fold all four corners behind, about 1 cm each, so the yolk is round.
- Pan: new sheet. Set the yolk aside. Take the big black square, black side up.
- Pan: corners behind. Fold all four corners behind, about 4.5 cm along each edge, so you get an even octagon.
- Pan: round it. Fold the tip of each of the eight new corners behind, about 1 cm. Now the pan is round.
- Glue it together. Glue the handle behind the right side of the pan. Glue the yolk in the pan, a little left of the middle.
Sizzle!
Draw a wobbly white egg around the yolk, a shine on the pan and a hole in the handle. Breakfast is served!
