How to fold an origami little cookie jar

Fold the sides of a diamond behind for a round jar, then fold the top behind and back up so a lid with a flat knob sits on top.

You need: 1 square sheet, blue or green on one side. Easy, 5 steps, about 5 minutes.

Steps

  1. Sides behind. Put the square coloured side up like a diamond. Fold the left and right corners behind along straight up-and-down lines.
  2. Top behind. Fold the top corner behind along a straight line across, a little above the middle.
  3. And back up. Behind, fold it back up a little lower, so a smaller lid peeks over the jar.
  4. Flat lid. Fold the tip of the lid behind along a straight line across, so it has a flat top.
  5. Flat bottom. Fold the bottom corner behind along a straight line across.

Cookie time!

Draw a white label with a heart on the front. Fill a paper plate with cookies to keep it company.
