How to fold an origami unicorn horn
Fold a diamond into a kite and then a slim spike, tuck the white bottom behind, and add two slanted pleats that look like the horn's twist.
You need: 1 square sheet, gold or yellow on one side. Easy, 7 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Make a kite. Put the square white side up like a diamond. Fold the two upper edges in to meet on the middle line.
- Slimmer. Fold the new side edges in to the middle line again, creasing from the top point. Now it is a slim spike.
- Bottom up. Fold the white bottom point up on a straight line across, where the spike is widest. It covers the last bit of white.
- Twist 1: down. Fold the tip down on a crease that rises to the right, about halfway up the horn.
- Twist 1: up. Fold it back up on a parallel crease a few millimetres lower. The slanted ledge looks like a twist in the horn.
- Twist 2: down. Fold the tip down again on a slanted crease, halfway between the first twist and the bottom edge.
- Twist 2: up. Fold it back up on a parallel crease a few millimetres lower. The slanted ledge looks like a twist in the horn.
Magic!
Glue it to a headband or a party hat and you are a unicorn.
