How to fold an origami easy jellyfish
A triangle folded into a kite, the flaps swung back out, then the top corners folded behind. That rounds the dome and drops the flaps down as tentacles.
You need: 1 square sheet, 15 × 15 cm, lilac or pink on one side, and a black pen. Easy, 4 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Make a triangle. White side up, like a diamond. Fold the top corner down to the bottom corner.
- Fold a kite. Fold both lower edges in to meet on the middle line, so the bottom point gets long and narrow.
- Swing the arms out. Fold each flap back out on a slant, from its top outer corner to a spot on the middle line 3 cm above the bottom point.
- Round the dome. Fold the two top corners behind on a slant, starting 2 cm in from each end of the top edge. The arms swing down and hang as tentacles.
Bloop!
Draw two eyes and a smile on the dome. Hang it from a thread so it bobs along like it's swimming.
