How to fold an origami light bulb

Round off a yellow diamond into the glass, fold a small grey square in half for the screw base and glue it over the bottom point.

You need: A 15 cm yellow square, a 7 cm grey square and a glue stick. Easy, 5 steps, about 5 minutes.

Steps

  1. Bulb: round the top. Yellow side up, like a diamond. Fold the left, right and top corners behind, about 3.5 cm each. The bottom point stays.
  2. Base: new sheet. Set the bulb aside. Take the grey square, white side up.
  3. Base: fold in half. Fold the top edge down to the bottom edge.
  4. Base: round the bottom. Fold the two bottom corners behind a little.
  5. Glue it together. Glue the base over the bottom point of the bulb, its folded edge across the narrow neck.

Bright idea!

Draw slanted screw lines on the base, a wiggly wire inside the glass and a white shine at the top.
