How to fold an origami medal
Fold a red and a blue strip for the ribbon and set them in a V. Round a gold square into the medal and draw a star on it.
You need: 1 red and 1 blue square, 1 bigger gold or yellow square, a white pen, a black pen and a glue stick. Medium, 9 steps, about 10 minutes.
Steps
- Red ribbon: sides in. Start with the red square, white side up. Fold the left and right edges to the middle.
- Red ribbon: in half. Fold the left half behind. Now it's a long red strip.
- Blue ribbon: new sheet. Set the red strip aside. Take the blue square, white side up.
- Blue ribbon: sides in. Fold the left and right edges to the middle.
- Blue ribbon: in half. Fold the left half behind, just like the red one.
- Medal: new sheet. Set the blue strip aside. Take the gold square, gold side up.
- Medal: corners behind. Fold all four corners behind, so the eight edges left are all the same length.
- Medal: round it. Fold the eight new corners behind a little bit. Now it's nice and round.
- Put it together. Glue the two strips behind the top of the medal in a V: red leaning left, blue leaning right.
