How to fold an origami panda face
Two squares, black on one side: one folds white side out into a round face, the other into a black triangle with two ears. Glue the face on so the ears peek out, then draw the eye patches.
You need: 2 square sheets the same size, black on one side, and a glue stick. Easy, 11 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Face: make a triangle. Start with one square, black side up. Fold the top corner down to the bottom corner, so the white side shows.
- Face: sides behind. Fold the left and right corners behind, so the sides of the face are straight.
- Face: flat chin. Fold the bottom point behind.
- Face: round the top. Fold the two top corners behind a little, about a finger's width.
- Face: round the chin. Fold the four corners along the bottom behind a little, about a finger's width, so the face turns round.
- Ears: new sheet. Set the face aside. Take the second square, white side up.
- Ears: make a triangle. Fold the top corner down to the bottom corner, so the black side shows.
- Ears: corners up. Fold the left and right corners in on steep lines, so their points stick up above the top edge.
- Ears: blunt the tips. Fold the tip of each ear down, so the ears are short and round.
- Ears: bottom point up. Fold the bottom point up, so it will hide behind the face.
- Glue on the face. Glue the face on top of the ears piece, top edges level, so only the two black ears peek out.
Hello, panda!
Draw two big black eye patches, leaving a little white spot in each, then a black nose and a little mouth.
