How to fold an origami radio
Fold the edges of a teal square behind into a wide box and pleat it across the front. The thin side strip is snipped free and folded up on a slant into the aerial.
You need: 1 teal square (15 cm), scissors and a black and a white pen. Medium, 6 steps, about 8 minutes.
Steps
- Top and bottom behind. Coloured side up, fold the top edge behind about 5 cm and the bottom edge behind about 2.5 cm.
- Pleat: fold up. Fold the lower part up on a level line a little below the middle.
- Pleat: fold down. Fold it back down on a line just above, leaving a step across the front: dial above, speaker below.
- Sides behind. Fold the left edge behind about 1 cm and the right edge behind a little less, a thin strip.
- Snip the strip free. Snip along the right side fold from the bottom edge up to near the top, so the thin strip behind comes loose.
- Aerial up. Fold the loose strip up behind on a crease from the end of the snip, tilted a little, so it sticks up on a slant as the aerial.
