How to fold an origami rain boot
White strips at the top and bottom make the rim and the sole. One crease shows where to cut a corner out, leaving a tall boot with a round toe.
You need: 1 sheet of A4 or Letter paper, yellow on one side, and scissors. Medium, 5 steps, about 7 minutes.
Steps
- Fold the rim. Start coloured side up. Fold a thin strip at the top down to show a white band. It will be the rim of the boot.
- Fold the sole. Fold a thinner strip at the bottom up. That white band is the sole.
- Crease the side. Fold the right edge over to the left, creasing a little right of the middle.
- Open it again. Unfold it. The crease shows where the front of the boot goes.
- Cut out the corner. Cut down the crease from the top to a third of the way up, then across to the right edge, curving down at the end. Round the bottom right corner too.
Splash!
Draw a tread line along the sole. Fold a second boot, flip it, and stand the pair by a paper puddle.
