How to fold an origami easy rain boot

Fold a square into a long strip, then fold the bottom out at a slant: the strip turns a corner and becomes a tall boot with a foot.

You need: 1 square sheet, yellow or red on one side. Easy, 6 steps, about 4 minutes.

Steps

  1. Crease the middle. White side up, fold the left edge onto the right edge, crease well and unfold.
  2. Sides to the middle. Fold the left and right edges in so they meet along the centre crease.
  3. Fold in half. Fold the right half over onto the left half along the centre, to make a long strip.
  4. Turn the foot. Fold the bottom of the strip out to the right on a slant, so it sticks out sideways. That's the foot.
  5. Round the toe. Fold the two corners of the toe behind on small slants.
  6. Cuff. Fold the top edge down a little to make the cuff.

Splash!

Draw a line for the sole along the bottom. Fold a second boot the other way round for a pair.
