How to fold an origami raindrop

Fold the upper edges of a blue square to the middle, turn it over and round off the bottom: a plump teardrop. Draw on a sweet smile.

You need: A 15 cm square, blue on one side. Easy, 5 steps, about 4 minutes.

Steps

  1. Fold to the middle. White side up, turned like a diamond. Fold the two upper edges in to meet along the middle, making a long point at the top.
  2. Turn over. Turn the paper over. It is all blue now.
  3. Bottom point. Fold the bottom point behind, about a third of the way up the short lower part.
  4. Side points. Fold the left and right points behind, just a little, so the drop gets round sides.
  5. Round it off. Fold the little corners round the bottom behind to make it nice and round.

Drip drop!

Draw two shiny eyes, a smile and a white shine on the side. Make a few in different blues for a rainy-day window.
