How to fold an origami royal crown
Fold a gold square into a triangle and swing its side corners up beside the middle point, so three points stand in a row. A red band folded from a strip holds them.
You need: 1 gold or yellow square (15 cm), 1 red paper strip (16 x 5 cm), glue and a white pen. Medium, 5 steps, about 8 minutes.
Steps
- Points: fold a triangle. White side up, turned like a diamond: fold the bottom corner up to the top corner.
- Points: swing up the sides. Fold each side corner up on a slant, so it stands up beside the middle point. Now there are three points.
- Band: new strip. Set the points aside. Take the red strip, red side up, long side across.
- Band: edges behind. Fold the top and bottom edges behind, about 1.5 cm each, so the band is strong with clean edges.
- Put it together. Glue the points behind the band, so the three points stand up above it.
Fit for a king!
Draw white jewels along the band and a round jewel on each point.
