How to fold an origami twirly top
One purple square: fold the upper edges behind into a kite, fold the long point down behind, then swing its tip back up so it pokes over the top as the handle.
You need: 1 purple square (15 cm) and a white pen. Medium, 5 steps, about 7 minutes.
Steps
- Kite behind. Purple side up, turned like a diamond: fold the two upper edges behind so they meet on the middle line at the back.
- Point down behind. Fold the long top point down behind, on a level line a little above the middle.
- Handle up. At the back, fold the point's tip up again, so it pokes up over the top edge as a slim handle.
- Flat handle. Fold the very tip of the handle behind, so it has a flat top.
- Round the rim. Fold the two wide side corners behind, just a little, so the rim is round.
Spin it!
Draw two white stripes around the body and a shine on the handle.
