How to fold an origami strawberry
Two squares: a red one folds into a plump berry that narrows to a point, and a small green one folds into the star of leaves on top. Glue them together and dot on the seeds.
You need: 1 red square, 1 green square a bit over half as wide, and a glue stick. Easy, 8 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Berry: fold the top down. Start with the red square, white side up, like a diamond. Fold the top corner down to the middle.
- Berry: fold in the sides. Fold the left and right corners in on a slant, from halfway along each short slanted edge at the top to near the bottom point.
- Berry: blunt the tip. Fold the bottom point up a little.
- Berry: turn it over. Flip the berry over so the smooth red side faces you.
- Leaves: new sheet. Set the berry aside. Take the small green square, white side up, like a diamond.
- Leaves: make a triangle. Fold the top corner down to meet the bottom corner.
- Leaves: fold the sides down. Fold the left and right corners down, creasing from just beside the middle of the top edge, so they point down and out like a star.
- Glue on the leaves. Glue the berry behind the leaves, so its flat top hides under them and the leaves hang down over the red.
A sweet strawberry!
Draw little seeds all over the red part.
