How to fold an origami sushi
Three rounds glued in a stack: dark seaweed, white rice a little smaller, and a small pink salmon filling in the middle. Corners fold behind to round each one.
You need: 1 square sheet, black or dark green, 1 a little smaller with a white side, 1 small pink square (half as wide), and glue. Easy, 8 steps, about 6 minutes.
Steps
- Seaweed: corners behind. Start with the dark square for the seaweed. Fold the four corners behind, to make an eight-sided shape.
- Seaweed: round it. Fold all eight new corners behind, just a little, so it's nice and round.
- Rice: new sheet. Set the seaweed aside. Take the slightly smaller square, white side up. That's the rice.
- Rice: corners behind. Fold the four corners behind, just like the seaweed.
- Rice: round it. Fold the eight new corners behind, just a little.
- Filling: new sheet. Set the rice aside. Take the small pink square, pink side up.
- Filling: corners behind. Fold the four corners behind, to make a small eight-sided filling.
- Stack the roll. Glue the rice in the middle of the seaweed, then the filling in the middle of the rice.
