How to fold an origami upright piano

Fold the top of a dark sheet down as the case and the bottom up as the front, leaving a white band of keys between, then slim the front and round the top.

You need: 1 A4 or Letter sheet, dark on one side. Easy, 4 steps, about 4 minutes.

Steps

  1. The case. Lay the sheet white side up, standing tall. Fold the top edge down about a quarter of the way. This is the piano's tall case.
  2. The keys. Fold the bottom edge up until it stops a finger's width below the case. The white band left between them is the keyboard.
  3. Slim the front. Fold the sides of the bottom part behind on slants, a little in at the bottom, so the keys stick out at the sides.
  4. Round the top. Fold the two top corners a little way behind, so the case has a smooth top.

Play a tune!

Draw lines between the white keys and fill in the black keys in twos and threes. A white page of music goes above.
