How to fold an origami vampire face
A spooky-cute vampire from two squares. The small black one folds into a pale face under slicked hair with a pointed widow's peak, and the big red one becomes a tall collar behind it.
You need: 2 squares coloured on one side: 10 cm black for the head, 15 cm red for the collar, and a glue stick. Easy, 9 steps, about 6 minutes.
Steps
- Head: pale face. Start with the small black square, black side up, edges straight. Fold both bottom corners up to meet in the centre. The white triangles make the face.
- Head: widow's peak. Fold the top inner corner of each white flap down a little, so a pointed bit of black hair shows between them.
- Head: hair top behind. Fold the top edge behind so it meets the top of the white face.
- Head: round the hair. Fold the two top corners behind a little. The head is done.
- Collar: new sheet. Set the head aside. Take the big red square, white side up, turned like a diamond.
- Collar: make a triangle. Fold the bottom corner up to the top corner.
- Collar: top down. Fold the top point down until it touches the middle of the bottom edge.
- Collar: points up. Fold both bottom corners up so their points stand about 1.5 cm past the top edge, leaning out a little. The collar is done.
- Glue on the head. Glue the head onto the collar, so the collar's two points stand up on either side of the hair.
