How to fold an origami waffle
Fold and open the square in halves and quarters both ways, so the creases make a grid. Round the corners behind and draw the waffle pockets along the creases.
You need: 1 square sheet, golden yellow on one side, and a dark pen. Easy, 6 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Fold and open. Golden side up. Fold the bottom edge up to the top edge, then open it again.
- The other way. Fold the right edge over to the left edge, and open it again.
- Edges to the middle. Fold the top and bottom edges to the middle crease, then open them again.
- Sides to the middle. Fold the left and right edges to the middle crease, and open them again. Now there's a grid of creases.
- Corners behind. Fold the four corners behind, a little way in.
- Round it. Fold the new little corners behind too, so the waffle has soft round corners.
Crispy!
Draw lines along every crease, and one more between each pair, for the waffle's grid of little pockets.
