How to fold an origami wallet
A sheet folded in half becomes a long sleeve: one end folds over as the pocket, the other is pointed into a flap. A folded green note peeks out the top.
You need: 1 brown A4 or Letter sheet, and 1 green paper about 13 × 15 cm for the note. Easy, 7 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Wallet: fold in half. Start with the wallet. Lay the sheet sideways, brown side down, and fold the bottom edge up to the top edge.
- Wallet: point one end. Fold the two right-hand corners in so the end comes to a point.
- Wallet: make the pocket. Fold the left end over by a third of the strip's length.
- Wallet: close the flap. Fold the pointed end over, so its tip reaches the middle of the wallet.
- Note: new sheet. Set the wallet aside. Take the green paper, white side up.
- Note: fold in half. Fold the note in half, top edge down to the bottom edge.
- Put it together. Glue the note behind the wallet, so its folded top edge peeks out above.
Ka-ching!
Draw a snap on the flap and a white oval on the note, and keep your paper money safe.
