How to fold an origami watering can
Fold a square into a can with a white rim, a thin strip into a long spout, a little square into a round rose and a strip into a bent handle. Glue them together and dot the rose with holes.
You need: 2 green squares (1 small), 2 green strips, a glue stick and a white pen. Medium, 11 steps, about 12 minutes.
Steps
- Can: white rim. Take the big green square, green side up. Fold the top edge down a little, so a white rim shows along the top.
- Can: slope the sides. Fold the left and right edges a little behind, more at the top than the bottom, so the can gets narrower towards the rim.
- Can: round the bottom. Fold the two bottom corners a little behind.
- Spout: new strip. Set the can aside. Take a long green strip, white side up, lying long ways.
- Spout: fold in half. Fold it in half the long way, top edge down to the bottom edge, to make a thin green spout.
- Rose: new square. Set the spout aside. Take the small green square, green side up.
- Rose: make it round. Fold all four corners a little behind, so it's a round rose for the end of the spout.
- Handle: new strip. Set the rose aside. Take the other green strip, white side up, lying long ways.
- Handle: fold in half. Fold it in half the long way, top edge down to the bottom edge.
- Handle: bend the ends down. Fold each end down on a slant, so it points straight down. Now the handle is a bridge with two legs.
- Glue it together. Glue the can over the handle's legs. Glue the spout behind its lower right side, sloping up, and the rose on the spout's tip.
Time to water!
Dot the rose with little white holes for the water to sprinkle out.
